Review: The Girls In The Water

The Girls In The Water The Girls In The Water by Victoria Jenkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a great detective thriller. Both King and Lane are strong, flawed, women; and are a good foundation for a series of thrillers. I've already bought the second book in the series, and will be starting it soon.

Review: Remembrance: (New Adult Paranormal Romance)

Remembrance: (New Adult Paranormal Romance) Remembrance: (New Adult Paranormal Romance) by Heather Hildenbrand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Easy to read, suspenseful, and very sexy. This is the first book by Heather Hildenbrand that I've read, and I am buying the next book after I finish this review. I have it free through kindle unlimited, but when I love a story this much, I happily support the author! If you are a fan of PNR, this is a fantastic read!

Review: The Sacking of Gildebrand Manor

The Sacking of Gildebrand Manor The Sacking of Gildebrand Manor by Tom Hansen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

That went by way too quickly! Korrigan seems to have a lot going on, and a lot that has gone on in his past. This was short, but very good! I am eager to learn more about Korrigan, and what it is that's brought him to this point in his life.

Review: Behind Her Eyes

Behind Her Eyes Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It's easy to see why there is a comparison to Girl on the Train and Gone Girl. Behind Her Eyes is told in the same manner. Chapters come from different people, and from their point of view. What isn't the same as either of those is the way it ends. Not the way it twists at the end, but the EXTRA twist at the VERY end. I'd figured it out just over halfway through, but I didn't take it far enough. I absolutely love that this had me fooled. It's hard to do when I read as much as I do, and Sara Pinborough got me good! Great story, deep characters, and excellent narration by Anna Bentinck, Josie Dunn, Bea Holland, and Huw Parmenter.

Review: The Apartment

The Apartment The Apartment by S.L. Grey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The first time I think a movie of a book would be better than the book. Good story, too long though; too wordy.

Review: Red Spring

Red Spring Red Spring by D.J. Bodden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was not expecting that!

This latest in the Black Year Series does not disappoint. I spent much of this book audibly gasping in surprise and saying, "Whaaaaa...?". So GOOD!! My emotions went from low to high over and over, and left my jaw on the floor at the end. I was way off about how I thought this third book would go, and have no clue as to what could follow in the final season of the Black Year. I can't wait to find out! This is still one of my favorite urban fantasy series that I've read.

Even though I've pre-ordered the book, this review is based on the ARC copy of Red Spring that I received for my honest review.
