Talking about Green Comet

I get this e-mailed to me, and I thought I'd share the info.

Space Weather News for March 20, 2007

GREEN COMET: There's a new comet in the southern hemisphere: Comet Lovejoy (C/2007 E2). Terry Lovejoy of Australia discovered it on March 15th using, remarkably, not a telescope but only an off-the-shelf digital camera. The green comet is too dim to see with the naked eye, but it is a nice target for backyard telescopes. After five days of monitoring, the comet's orbit is now known with some accuracy and it is possible to make predictions about Comet Lovejoy's future movements and brightness.

BONUS--VENUS AND THE MOON: When the sun goes down tonight, step outside and look west. You'll see Venus and the slender crescent Moon beaming together through the glow of sunset. If you miss the pair on March 20th, try again on the 21st. They will be beautifully close together on both nights.

A better day

It's not very pretty outside, but I'm feeling less down today, regardless. I'd probably feel more of a boost if it was sunny and I could open the windows without the threat of pneumonia. Still, I am feeling a little better. Classes are going… well, all right. Surprisingly, my algebra class isn't the most difficult for me. It's American National Government. Why??? I find it interesting, and informative, yet somehow it's beating my ass into the ground. *sigh* I had no idea that adding just 1 extra class to my class load was going to drain me to the point of inaction. I don't have energy to do even the simplest of things, like eating. I knew I'd find a great diet someday.     So, it's Friday, and this makes me happy. I can sleep in, which makes class work easier to focus on, since I'm able to focus right away. Woo!

So down

I feel so down, and so much like curling into a ball and not doing anything. I feel disappointed, but I don’t know why. I feel like I’ve been bullied and treated like an unwanted dog, but that’s not the case at all. I’m so frustrated with people in general, I do know that much.

Essayville

I don't think I can be creative any more today. I'm so tired of thinking about Electoral College reform, I think I could cry. I know I'm overly stressed, and that's not going well for me. I actually had chest pains while doing schoolwork yesterday, and again today. What's up with that? It's not difficult work really, just lots and lots of it. I enjoy school very much, but I'm tired. I think I'll relax with a nice movie. At times like this, I wish I drank.

Vista

I love Windows Vista! It was cake to install, everything integrated easily, and my computer is a speedy beast once again. I'm quite happy, and oh, I LOVE that Office Student edition comes with OneNote now, I bloody adore that program! Okay, I'm done gushing, have more chapters to read.

*sniffs the air*

Okay, they can live. No milk smell, and the front entrance tiles look very shiny.

Extra day off

I love it when I get an extra day off of classes. Tomorrow being MLK Jr. b-day, the kids and I have the day off. My husband has it off work also, so we'll be sleeping in.

My husband just came home, and the kids were helping bring in some groceries. AJ had one of the gallons of milk and dropped it just inside the front door. Soooo, now there is milk in the carpet and just outside the door. The kids cleaned it up, but we'll see how well they did when tomorrow comes. I swear, if I smell milk...
