Sad Car

I was just the passenger, but my husband was driving my car when some chick hit us. Cop came, got all info, and told her it was her fault. Did all the insurance crap and that’s done. Tomorrow I call the auto body shop and get that taken care of. Won’t cost us anything, cause we have Allstate and accident forgiveness, so our deductible is covered. Still, my citrus colored car is sad and hurt, and she only has barely over 5k miles on her. She’s too young to know this kind of pain :P
Nobody was hurt, not even any airbags went off. Just an annoying inconvenience.

True Blood, 2nd time around

With the final season of True Blood starting soon, I decided to watch all the episodes again, from the start. I have to admit, I'm liking the second time through more than the first. I like the anticipation, and I am enjoying recognizing hints as to what is coming in the story. This show is crazy! I am gonna miss the hell out of it.

30 days of BS, and curbing the bitch

So freakin' stressed! Actually, I'm not now, but I sure as hell was for a few weeks. When that happens, I have a tendency to turn up the bitchitude (borrowed from Angry Black Bitch). Since my mom raised me to believe that I have to shut the hell up if I'm not going to say something nice, I chose to do just that. No, not say something nice.. shut the hell up.

I used to not realize this was how I would react to stress, and make everyone suffer because of it. Now, if I want to unleash, rest assured I know I'm doing it, and you have earned the tongue lashing that ensues. I didn't have to do that this past month. At least, I chose not to. I managed to curb the bitch in me.

For the next few weeks, I'll be getting ready to go on vacation, so maybe the focus on the vacation will help. I sure as hell hope so. Here's to the next 30 days!

Hello Kitty contacts

Hello Kitty! - Would you wear these?. Hell yeah I would! Not all the time, but for Halloween, or some other event I can't think of right now.

Facebook timeline ads, Really?

So I'm checking out Facebook on this lovely 420 day, and I see this ad. Note, it's the "No.1 Game for Women", so I should be excited to have been given the opportunity to play it, right? No, not right. For some reason this really pisses me off. I said to myself, fuck it, I'll just hide these from my timeline and be done with it. The problem I'm having is that I don't appear to be able to hide it. Now, if anyone knows of a way to do this, then please share it with me! I've been noticing a lot of ads lately, and they are showing up every 3 or so posts. I love my big computer screen, I don't want to have to use mobile devices to read the articles and comment, and I should have to, just to avoid ads.

After Transcendence

I saw that Rotten Tomatoes gave Transcendence a 19%. Uh, not what I would give it. I liked it, found it entertaining and thought provoking. I thought the acting was fine, not great, but not bad. Of course, Paul Bettany was amazing as always. I can always feel his characters' emotions, whether he's gilding the lily, or an Opus Dei fanatic.  Also in this were Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy, and Rebecca Hall. Watch it, if not in the theatre, rent it. Don't miss out because some people are too cynical to just be entertained.

Transcendence

It's time! A movie about one of the topics my husband loves to debate with me about. Uploading a person's consciousness into something else. In our debates, he wants his mind in a "robot", synthetic human, whatever you want to call it. I argue that I wouldn't want that, and that when it's time to die, it's time to die. Surgery, medications, that's one thing. Downloading consciousness into another vessel? I'll pass. So off we go tonight to see the movie, and I'm sure we'll end up having quite a conversation about it after, into the night, and possibly tomorrow. One thing about my husband, he's very intelligent, and fun to debate with. His consciousness would definitely be worth keeping.

The King

The King The King by J.R. Ward My rating: 4 of 5 stars Just like the other books in this series, I found the characters lives fascinating, and totally entertaining. It was over too fast! View all my reviews
