Wow
Havent updated in a while it seems. Well, yesterday was the last day of school and AJ and I are finally FINISHED.
Soo happay. =]]
JK's friend from Missouri was in town and came over to visit and spent the night on the big bean bag, and he has long hair now. lol it was epic. I made pie and although it wasnt my best, it turned out ok and tasted fine. You can check it out on my other blog: http://nummyness.blogspot.com/

AJ and KK are at the store right now, picking things up fer dinner, and Im at home with JK...heh jk... and he is trying to fix up the sound thingy. Its this AV Receiver or something like that. I can never remember.
Haha so anyway, it shut down from being so hot last nite, and so JK took the top grid-heat-letting-out-thingy off the top and saw a whole buncha fluffs of grey fur!
Turns out it was all Zeus's cuz he lays up there so much. So we vacuumed it out haha. Then it kept turning off so he's trying to make it work or re-wire it or something.
OMG the best song ever this week isss:: You Dont Know Me by Ben Folds and it sounds super awesome cuz its feat. Regina Spektor.

Oh on the 18th, we had knights day.
Its like a field day fer junior high, but like, they have those big inflatable thingys and stuff around. People face paint and bring out the popcorn and cotton candy machines. Its so much fun. I had a blast last year and this year I wasnt so sure cuz all my friends seemed to be nowhere and i could never find em. So instead I hung out with one of AJ's friends: Lexa, and he is sooo funny! He and I are like bffs now and Evinn talks to me more. They both are sevies that went to AJs school last year and I like em better than my other friends haha.
Oh dad, if you're readin this, then Im soo sorry about not getting my last concert recored to you. Mom brought the camera and everything but it freaked out and died like ten minutes into the whole choir thing that was up before us. We played well though =]
Did I happen to mention that Im not taking bass/orchestra next year? Yeah Im doing my whole culinary arts thing, and its not like Im good enough with the bass to make anything of it. I might pick it up again later but not this next school year.
Besides, I really need to be able to have a bass at home to practice cuz the time in class is not enough for me to keep up. When I do take it home, I practice for hours willingly. I love it but its also just too darn expensive.
But so ya, thats the news recently and..ummm yeeah.

Trip to Mt Rainer
AJ had a trip to Mt. Rainier on Friday. Here are some pictures she got with her cell phone. Amazing how well they turned out! I can't tell you the name of what she's looking at here, just know they were all either on the way up there, or while she was walking around.

Culinary Arts, Ay?
Hey home-skillets, i wanted to post a link to an article about Bothell HS and their culinary classes:

Im gonna be in that class in a couple years! I cook at home and I like to mess with recipes and make them my own, and thats how a few people in the article got into culinary arts too. Its going to be a little challenging, especially with orchestra and all my classes with the new school and everything.
Oh!
I applied for honors English for next year, and they will let us know who will be getting in before spring break so Im looking forward to that, fer shure, yo.
Apparently, because Im in Core 1 Math right now, I will have to take Core 2 next year, and not Core 3 [honors math]. They dont have anything for over the summer to learn all of Core 2 so i can be in honors for tenth grade, but if I do well in class, my teacher might be able to recommend me for honors as a junior.
Well so anyway -coughcough- thats my news for this week about school, besides that for the time being I have STRAIGHT A's!!
So yeah, AJ, as far as I know, has good grades too, but she doesnt tell me anything anymore.

Indubitably, that is specifically, though not particularly a necessity.
I said this when I was.. what was it, 10 years old? I never forgot it, and trying to teach it to a 14 and 13 year old seems impossible.
Late conversation heart post.
We forgot to post our experiment in making our own conversation hearts. It was a fun and definitely, silly time for us. The only problem we ran into was not rolling out the candy thin enough, so that even after about 5 days, the candy still was not dry in the middle of the thicker hearts. It was kind of eww. Other than that, the rest were fine, and if we make them again, we'll use more flavors than just vanilla.

Solo Ensemble
Its a competition-like thing where we get into groups and practice a certain piece of music for two months, and then perform it in front of judges for scores. Our judge said we played quite well, and even though we kinda fell apart at some parts, we got back together. We had three violins (one first violin, and two second violins), one viola, one cello, and one bass. =D Hope ya enjoy it!
